Name and address mismatches: aligning profile, documents, website and signage
Most appeal difficulty traces back to one question a reviewer cannot answer: is this the same business in every place it appears? Mismatched names and addresses are the quickest way to make that question unanswerable.
Not sure which of these applies to your profile?

Check whether Appeallure fits my caseWhat the guidelines ask for
Google's guidelines for representing your business ask that the profile name be the business's real-world name — the one used consistently on storefront, website, stationery, and known to customers — without added keywords, locations, taglines, or marketing text. The address should be the business's real location, stated the way postal conventions state it.
The four places to compare
- The public Google Business Profile name and address.
- Official documents: registration, licence, tax certificates, utility bills.
- Your website, including its contact and footer details.
- Physical signage at the location, where a storefront is claimed.
Resolving a legitimate difference
Trading names, legal entity names, suite numbers, and recent moves create real differences that are not deceptive. Handle them by making the public profile match the real-world name customers see, keeping the legal name on documents, and being able to state the relationship plainly in one factual sentence. Do not invent an explanation you cannot support.
After a move
A relocation touches every layer: profile address, documents, utility accounts, website, signage, and third-party listings. Update the profile and the paperwork before appealing, so the reviewer is not comparing an old document with a new address.
Checking your own case
Appeallure's structured intake asks about each of these layers and flags the mismatches that a reviewer would notice, with a completion test for each finding. The pre-check is free.
